BillWise is a free tool for Perth households. We analyse your Synergy bill, model what solar, batteries, or heat pumps would actually save you, and explain the numbers plainly.
Western Australia has some of the best solar conditions in the world, yet many households are still overpaying on electricity. The energy landscape is confusing: multiple tariff structures, changing rebate programs, and an overwhelming number of solar installers making hard-to-compare claims.
BillWise was built by a team with 15 years in the WA solar industry to cut through that complexity. We use real WA data (Synergy tariff rates, government rebate amounts, CEC-approved product databases, and Perth-specific solar irradiance) to give you savings estimates you can trust.
Thinking about solar, a battery, an EV charger, or ditching gas? BillWise shows you what actually makes financial sense for your household, not what an installer wants to sell you.
BillWise is part of WattMate Pty Ltd, the wider WattMate group that also runs Solar Battery Perth and the WattMate installer marketplace. We’re Perth-based and built for one job: helping WA households make sense of their power bill.
The tariff, rebate, and pricing figures behind our bill analysis come from Synergy’s published tariffs and official WA government rebate documentation. We don’t estimate from memory. When a figure changes at the source, it changes here too.
Published Synergy rates. Published rebate data. No inflated savings claims.
BillWise is free for households. We're not owned by a retailer or a large energy company, unlike some of the "independent" tools you might already use. We earn a small referral fee from installers when you request quotes, but this never affects your price or our recommendations.
Built exclusively for Western Australia. We know Synergy tariffs, DEBS/REBS schemes, WA Battery Rebate, and Perth solar irradiance because that is all we do.
Gas-free homes have measurably better indoor air quality. Electrification is good for your wallet and your lungs.
“Most solar websites want to sell you a system. We just want to show you the maths.”
Upload your Synergy bill or enter your bill amount. We check which tariff actually suits your usage pattern.
Calculate ROI for solar panels, home batteries, EV chargers, heat pumps, and induction cooktops. All calculations use real WA data including STCs, DEBS export rates, and WA Battery Rebate.
Answer a few questions about your home. We produce a prioritised plan: what to do first, what it costs after rebates, and a modelled payback timeline. No fluff, just numbers.
Request free quotes from verified, insured WA installers. We verify credentials and collect customer reviews so you can choose with confidence.
Money-relevant figures on BillWise, tariff rates, rebate amounts, and the assumptions behind our calculators, get reviewed whenever Synergy publishes a tariff change or a WA government scheme updates its rules. We also run regular internal reviews of these figures outside of any announced change, to catch drift before it reaches you.
Where a figure is modelled rather than measured, a savings estimate from our calculator, for example, we say so. Modelled numbers are built on the same published tariffs and rebate documentation, but they’re an estimate for your situation, not a guarantee.
